Sardine Serving Fork, Sterling Silver, Lot K

What the image doesn’t capture is how shiny this fork is. Also, the right-most tine is a little bent and has a minor pit on it, and the tine to the left of the right-most tine has a little larger pit. We were not given any indication of the age of this.

Original use of the sardine serving fork was not to remove sardines from the tin; this was a serving piece used to move sardines from their arrangement on a platter to an individual’s plate.
