Sure, you could squeeze some fresh lemon on a tin of tuna, but sometimes you can’t bring a lemon with you to work, or maybe you just want the flavor more imbued through the meat. We were purists until we tried our first tuna in escabeche, and now we’re total converts to flavored tunas.

This tin was so good! I ate it over a salad and it was the perfect amount of lemon, it really enhanced the tuna and made it taste more special. It didn’t seem like the biggest piece of fish, but it ended up being perfectly filling for my appetite. Additionally, it was nice to see the small slices of lemon on top of the fish in the tin and there was a good amount of the oil with the fish. The fish itself was great textured, delicious tuna flavor, scrumptious hint of lemon. If you’re unsure about this tin, don’t hesitate, try it!! It’s really tasty and really elevates an already tasty tuna.
My only (very minor) complaint with this tin was the opening. This was probably just me, but having the pull tab off to the side made it a struggle to open. I spilled a bit of oil upon initial opening, even being careful, and when I got to around halfway of the opening point, it was difficult for me to open rest of the way. I don’t know it was me or if it was just the position of the pull tab? But I wish it had been easier to open.
Either way, I’ll definitely be repurchasing this tin again!

This tin was very good. I really enjoyed the lemon flavor and ate it with crackers. My 9 year old son enjoyed it as well. I will be repurchasing!
