First let me start off by saying that the only reason for the 4 stars is $10.00. The quality of the sardines is 5 star for sure. I f you don’t mind shelling out $10 a can for only 3 ounces of sardines…..well ENNNJOY!

Was saving these to share and decided to just treat myself! Pretty, silvery little guys that are surprisingly firm for a tiny ‘dine. Maybe because they’re technically pilchards? Regardless, they hold up well to being plucked from the can with chopsticks. They’re slightly salty and the olive oil isn’t too thick or overwhelming. The first fishies were slightly dry but the ones at the bottom were slightly less dry than the slightly dry ones. For little morsels they are very meaty!

These baby ‘dines were great – taste was clean and no bit of fishiness. Texture was pretty perfect in between firm and soft. I loved the size of these (obviously smaller for baby sardines), and were perfect for having with a cracker. I will say that presentation here was pretty nice as well – the packaging was on the larger size with the box opening on the front (where the art was)- and there being a picture of a fisherman on the inside flap and a”window” to show the tin inside (with a paper that provides some additional explanation (in Spanish). All in all, pretty standard high quality sardine – one of the better tins I’ve had.

Absolute treat, this can. Intensely savory, firm textured little pilchards. Clean aroma, beautiful color. Comparable to your Peñas or Yurritas. Right down the lane, I’d say.

Great flavor fish with a nice aftertaste. Has very slight meaty texture that was pleasant. Good tin. The quality is there.

These were fantastic. Tender, moist, perfectly salty little shiny beauties. Wish I had the words to describe them other than really good. Let my 20 month old try em and he ate about seven before I could fight him off lol.

Ok, so right out of the gate – let’s talk about the box. It is lovely, the art, the colors, and the top flips up to reveal the can? It’s such a fun little detail. These are some of the most delicious ‘dines I have ever had. They’re just perfection. Clean flavor, smooth oil, beautifully packed, tender – it’s everything you want a ‘dine to be. Just buy them!

Package is nice. Good amount of sardines. The tin I got was tender and moist. A little fishy but that’s the chance you take with any fish. Not too fishy that it became an issue though. Will definitely repurchase in the future as a self treat. I had them with a touch of lime and on a saltine cracker. I also tried them with a mixture of Espinaler sauce and pico de gallo. Yum!
