I’ve never had tinned mussels taste this fresh. They’re firm, moist, slightly smokey, and totally delicious. My boyfriend and I teamed up on these straight out of the tin, along with some warm crusty bread. These are certainly a splurge, but worth it if you’re looking for a solid, no-frills, really delicious tinned mussel. For what it’s worth, too, there are a lot of mussels in here, and all of them decently sized. No weird little stragglers at the bottom or anything. I’ll be reordering this for special occasions, for sure. The packaging itself is beautiful– this would be a wonderful party offering or hostess gift, as long as the company you keep are confirmed tinned seafood fans!

Well … this is a perfect tin of mussels. The flavor on these was unlike any I’ve had, similar to escabeche but with more depth of flavor. If blindfolded, could I have identified this as a “chargrilled” flavor? I honestly don’t know, but the tin liquid was absolute gold and I happily gulped down extra spoonfuls of it on each bite (as well as drinking it at the end). Ever-so-slightly uglier than the Ramon Pena gold tin and also not as organized upon opening. But the mussels were bigger than the RP for sure, with even more flavor complexity. Despite the price, I’ll surely be grabbing these 2-3x a year as a splurge.

Truly amazing tin here. Get the best potato chips that you can find, open and enjoy. For my personal tastes + quality assessment, these rank above the (brilliant) lemon Patagonia & Fangst mussel tins … congrats Güeyu Mar, these are the best mussels that I’ve ever eaten. Just, wow.

These are excellent. Could easily eat them all out of the tin without any add ons. I hit them with some pepper, lemon, and red onion right in the tin and they went fast. Nothing like mussels this good without having to pick them out of a shell.

A tasty can, I would definitely eat these again. The sauce compliments the plump, meaty mussels. However, at the price point I think they are definitely a splurge: you can get mussels of similar quality for quite a bit less.
