    Really excellent, enjoyed this warmed up over rice and didn’t add a thing (although a little wasabi would have been nice in hindsight). The sauce is balanced and has some depth to it. The mackerel is pretty moist compared to most canned mackerel, you didn’t get the “is this dry tuna” vibe at all. I did notice a crunchy spine or two (in a good way) and in my experience, I don’t think it gets much better than this for texture of canned mackerel.

    Compares nicely against the Nissui mackerel in miso, they are both worth the money … it tastes exactly as I’d hoped it would and at this price, it’s an absolute steal.

    Very pleasent miso taste! Very good texture, I enjoyed this tin with some warm sticky rice and some brocolli!
