Extremely easy to eat straight out of the tin! Beautiful red-tinted oil and high quality fillets make this a visually impressive tin to open. Slightly firmer fish than average but still with very good moisture & flake. Piment d’Espelette comes across as a mild but still noticeable background flavor (with zero heat). Seasoning was good and I didn’t really feel the urge to add salt to this tin. While the brand is a little bit of a splurge in general, I’d happily recommend this as an intro to Les Mouettes d’Arvor … just make sure that you get their lemon confit & chili pepper sardines in your order as well.
