There’s no era of food photography quite like the 1970s, so when we found this booklet was in the public domain, we decided to reprint them. The recipes are actually pretty good. The photography, not so much.

The title specifies Maine sardines for two reasons. One, it was put out originally by the Maine Sardine Council. And two, the Maine Sardine Council existed to promote Maine sardines over California sardines, which was a big rivalry, on par with PC vs. Mac today.
