    I really enjoyed these – the flavor is nice – light, non-overpowering smoke combined with a mild earthiness and sweetness. Being smoked they are a bit more of a substantial bite than what you’d get from a non-smoked tinned mussel – not dry, but not juicy. After a few bites I was thinking they come across as a stick-to-your-ribs meal, which is not something you get from tinned seafood. Serve them up on a piece of toast or two, or maybe some crackers, with a splash of hot sauce and you’re having a good time.
