Omakase (Japanese: お任せ, Hepburn: o-makase) is a Japanese phrase, used when ordering sushi in restaurants, that means “I’ll leave it up to you” (from Japanese “to entrust” (任せる, makaseru)).
We will happily put together a package of assorted deliciousness for you. In fact, we like doing it so much you always get more than you pay for, and sometimes even get things that we don’t list on the website.
Omakase comes with individual notes to provide context for all the selections, and tips for helping you best enjoy each item.
However, because the process involves dialog and personal customization, because it is both a process and a product, because it is both an experience and a delivered package, omakase does not work as a gift.
If you would like to give someone the gift of a box of tinned fish which we have selected based on your descriptions of what they would enjoy, please choose a Gift Box, instead.
We also offer Gift Cards if you think your giftee might be interested in more than just our tinned fish.
If you’re short on time and you are brand new to tinned fish and are open to anything and just want to try a great assortment, please consider the King Oscar One-Stop Shop, or one of our other combo packs as a first foray into the field rather than omakase, which will involve some dialog between us.
Choose your price point, and we’ll contact you with a few questions to get a sense of your goals and experience, likes and dislikes, wants and don’t wants, and we’ll go from there. Choose “Other” if you want to spend an amount not listed.
