Yummy! I never had mussels tinned or otherwise. These had a wonderful flavor with a very subtle hint of horseradish. I will be buying these again.

    The. BEST. Mussels.

The ideal Goldilocks texture, deep and rich garlic flavor with enough lemon to bring some acidity. Tons of garlic and onion pieces to add to each bite. Maybe best of all, it’s completely guilt-free … the entire thing (including all of the broth/oil) is only 190 calories so you can consume **every single bit** without the slightest remorse. It’s simply, simply perfection.

I loved these plain. I loved these on a cracker. I loved them even more when topped with just a tiny pinch of flaky salt. After the mussels were gone, I spooned out all of the remaining broth/oil onto a cracker and loved that too. I can’t imagine a future where I don’t always have a tin of these on hand … $8 feels like a bargain price. Absolutely absolutely blown away by this one.

Very nice tin of mussels, perfect balance of acidic and savory. I had it on thin, crispy crackers for lunch, and will definitely be getting them again.

These mussels were the gateway into my new tinned fish obsession. I’ve always loved restaurant mussels but was too intimidated to cook them at home. This is a great middle ground. They taste very similar to getting mussels in a lemon garlic sauce at a restaurant with the convenience of no prep work! I had it over rice and had it on a cracker. Loved both. 9/10

The best tin of mussels I’ve ever had. Tons of mussels in the tin. On top of that, visible chunks of garlic in a flavorful lemon/oil/mussel broth. The mussels themselves had beautiful color, smell, and texture. A great balance of firmness and moistness. Even with a high quality tin of mussels, I typically prefer freshly cooked. This tin is a perfect counterpoint. I enjoyed these as much, if not more, than freshly cooked mussels. In short, the tin is perfect. I enjoyed the Patagonia smoked mussels, but this tin is far superior. I enjoyed these straight from the tin as well as on a cracker. Also tried a couple hot sauces and chili oils. The flavor stands up to anything you put these mussels up against. Just go ahead and buy these.

We dig shellfish, especially mussels. These are our current tinned favorites. Compared with Espanaler mussels in pickled sauce, these have a greater acid punch, texture and flavor. Dumped can-n-all over hot rice with steamed vegetables on the side, the Patagonias provide simple perfection for workplace lunches or weeknight dinners. They dress up crackers wonderfully and offer a healthy alternative to cheese as a snack. Simply outstanding.

Coming in expecting something like the Patagonia Savory Sofrito Mussels, I thought the broth was lighter and less viscous in comparison. It has a lot of veggies like the Sofrito flavor which is great but I thought the flavor itself was mild. Mussels themselves taste clean so can’t complain!

Honestly, they exceeded my expectations! I originally ordered these as a look into what a tinned mussel would taste like, and while I expected something decent, these were fantastic. Visually, it’s hard to make mussels look good, so the tin appeal wasn’t off the charts. However, once you get over the interesting look, they are incredible. The flavor is not fishy at all, very clean and fresh tasting. The lemon and herbs come through in a big way, and are the more dominant flavor. Very easy to eat alone or on a cracker, which I found added some texture, as these were firm, but not chewy, in a good way!

The lemony broth does not over power the natural muscle/salty flavor at all. It works as a great compliment. I think I prefer the Patagonia Lemon Herb brine over their Smoked muscles. I find myself opening the Patagonia boxes and reading it as I slowly enjoy each muscle from the tin. It is a pleasant experience to test what thy describe as their taste, while you are tasting it. Pretty cool. I would buy these again! 4/5

When I popped open this tin of mussels and tried them out with some potato chips, it was hard to believe that the complex, rich flavors I was getting were coming from tinned mussels! The mussels themselves are soft, satiny, with a briney, oceany flavor balanced with a perfect, juicy lemon, oil, and broth combination that you’ll want to soak up with some bread or save for later use.

If you tried mussels in escabeche and weren’t a fan of that flavor profile, I highly suggest giving these a try – totally different combination of flavors, a lot fresher tasting and less overpowering in my opinion. These plus potato chips with a dash of chili crisp make for the perfect bite – I envision myself preparing little hors d’oeuvres with them in the future for a fancy looking dinner party or treat!

These were tasty as promised. I ate them with tortilla chips and the broth in the tin is definitely good for dipping. If you like things on the soupy side, this one’s for you.

One of the best tins of mussels I’ve had – this one avoids the odd texture some other tins offer. Downed the whole thing with potato chips standing at my kitchen counter.

I really liked these, I even slurped the broth. Wish I had warmed em up and had them with some bread or over rice or something. Loved all the garlic bits. Just a real nice blend of flavors.

This tin was such a delight! Honestly tasted restaurant quality, and might be one of my favorite mussels I’ve ever had. My partner and I literally stood over our plate just saying “Wow! Yum!” over and over as we ate. Perfect texture, wonderful flavors, and really great value for what you get!
