    Mild and mellow. In general, Sardinha fills a nice spot in the sardine hierarchy – above average texture, moisture, quality at a solid price for gigantic sardines. It’s easy to enjoy their tins when they’re all so flaky, medium-soft, and moist all the way through. Where this particular tin falls a little short (compared to others in the Sardinha line) is the *amount* of flavor. This one is so mild that you can’t really tell that it’s supposed to be a flavored tin. I got 1 single red pepper strip in the tin to divide up between 3 giant sardines, leaving me wanting as I ate it straight from the tin. However … if you happen to already have a jar of roasted red pepper on hand along with a little flaky salt, you’re going to have a really nice time with this one.
