Years ago, Dan got the crazy idea to buy Jenny a Valentine’s Day Gift to be remembered: The Best Chocolate In The World. Which turned out to be a journey more than a destination, because, as he found out, there is no best, when you’re talking about flavor. Instead, he ended up hosting chocolate tasting parties to consume all of the different types he’d brought in in order to try and find the house favorite. After tasting hundreds of different kinds of chocolate bars (we had to limit it to both “bars” and “without inclusions” just to make the number of award-winning possibilities manageable), one chocolate emerged as our shared choice for the (current) title of Best Chocolate Bar (we’ve tasted, so far). The snap is exquisite, the flavor is complicated and modulates, and the mouthfeel is sensual.

This bar is a newly improved edition of our “Dark Milk Flor de Sal” bar.

Straddling the line between light and dark, this bar is accentuated by the addition of Peruvian warm spring salt. (Our Peruvian salt is sourced from Salt of the Earth Co., a company that donates a portion of its proceeds to Peruvian charities, including the Corazon de Dahlia Community Development Center near Cusco.
