A fun change of pace at a fantastic price. The cod had a pleasant texture – soft and flakey yet still with a slight chew. As for the biscay sauce, it kind of reminded me a little bit of an escabeche sauce. Mild, thin, seasoned nicely. I’ve only had one other “bacalao a la vizcaina” tin before (from Albo) and this Mariscadora is dramatically better than that one.
I ate this straight from the tin as I do with almost every new tin … I enjoyed it quite a bit and didn’t add a thing. Next time, I’ll *certainly* have this on some crusty bread (as recommended by Dan) and expect to be thoroughly blown away with that preparation. The tin is an absolute winner especially considering how affordable it is. Recommended!
