A little anchovy paste is often the secret ingredient in all kinds of dishes. One of our favorite ways to use it is to incorporate it into garlic butter used to make garlic bread. Umami bomb.

    This ‘lil tube has been so handy for all sorts of applications. Folding a bit into butter as Dan mentions above, in marinades for lamb & pork, a raw meatball mixture, pasta sauces, etc.. We live in an area without an Asian grocer, so I even add a dab to recipes where fish sauce is desired – might be sacrilege, but works in a pinch. Just a solid, affordable anchovy paste.
