Exactly what I wanted them to be! Rarely do I buy more than 1 of a brand new tin as soon as it shows up at RTG but here, I found myself thinking “there’s no possible way that this isn’t a winner.” And, I was right. It’s wonderful, and actually a little spicier than I expected it to be (let’s call it 2.5 out of 5). Felt like they were maybe even a quarter step hotter than the special edition with malagueta pepper. Medium-soft giant chonkers just as you always get from Sardinha, with the same extremely satisfying flake as well. Seasoning was spot-on and the flavor was deeper/better than many other spicy oil tins I’ve tried.
Sardinha is so crazy consistent with their quality and probably my favorite overall giant-sardine brand. These immediately rank in my Sardinha top 5 just behind the spicy pickle and right alongside the spicy tomato tin and the small sardine tin. Absolutely, absolutely worth the price.
