We find these best when gently warmed and served over rice or risotto. But, no one will judge you if you eat them straight from the tin like a heathen.

I really enjoyed this can. It was my first time trying squid in ink and i really liked the briny flavor and the texture of the squid. I toasted some broken up spaghetti in a pan with olive oil, added a little wine, then added some water (clam broth would have been great) to cook the pasta “risotto style” and added the squid in at the end. It was delicious and I will be buying this again

Excellent squid in a very good ink sauce. You get what you pay for here and more. High quality pieces that almost read as octopus, perfect texture that isn’t too chewy or soft. The ink was a touch underseasoned for me but easily remedied with some salt and pepper. I probably would have liked this even at room temp by itself, but instead I warmed this up over some leftover rice … and absolutely enjoyed the experience.
This Ati Manel tin is much better than other squid tins that I’ve tried recently. For my tastes, I have realized that budget squid isn’t tasty (e.g. Goya) and that good squid is definitely worth an extra dollar or two. Fortunately, this tin is priced at such a nice level that it doesn’t even need to be a super special occasion to crack it open. Definitely recommend this tin and Ati Manel in general.

I’m a big fan of the ink sauce flavor profile in general, this tin is no exception. Very good flavor. Slight cephalopod chew, perhaps moreso than other squids I’ve tried, but by no means offensive (delightful actually, imo). The sauce is oily, tomatoey, and delicious. The squid and sauce is really a complete package, so make sure to serve with something that will soak up the sauce; I like fried potatoes, but rice, pasta, or bread would also work well.
