    Solid, would be a great ingredient for a larger dish. But unlike the Briosa spiced mackerel, this isn’t something that really shines on its own when eaten straight from the tin. It seemed like it had a little less moisture than the spiced variety as well, although still an average moisture overall. Texture was good – not overly chewy, a little firm but not super dense. By itself, totally fine but unremarkable. After adding some bullwhip kelp hot sauce, pretty enjoyable. If that’s the way you like to eat your mackerel, you’ll enjoy this tin.
