These are amazing. Golden guys in golden oil. Denser than a sardine, more umami. The olive oil is fragrant in the best way. Home run fish.

I’ve never tried garfish and didn’t realize they were so small. I found these little fellas resting in a tasty olive oil to be a wonderful snack.

These are nice. I don’t know if my pallete is sophisticated enough to tell the difference between them and sardines. They seem a little saltier and more umami than sardines, but not a huge difference.

I love Garfish. these are meatier and they do have a wonderful flavor. ate these on a saltine and some stone-ground mustard. delicious! You can’t go wrong with these.

These are amazing. Ate them right out of the tin. They have a beautiful skin, silver on the belly and a deep black on the back. I did not detect any bones. There were 4 pieces in the tin, all in perfect condition. They are very meaty. The oil was very rich. I will 100% get these again.

I’ve never had garfish before, so I didn’t know what to expect. There were 4 fish in the tin bathed in a golden olive oil. The fish themselves were a little dryer than sardines that I’ve had, but tasted very similar – maybe slightly fishier and saltier. They were delicious by themselves, and also great on crackers.

All the garfish I’ve tried have been at least very good. These are no exception. A bit smaller than some, a bit less firm, but tasty & filling. Alternate with sardines, or choose sides if you must; I’m with the more is more team. Whatever you drink with smoky sprats will go fine with these.
