Bogar is a brand made by Conservas de Cambados using fish from outside their region.

Squid pieces in a sauce made using squid ink is a classic of the tinned fish world. Not too shabby straight from the tin, but the way to really enjoy these is tossed with pasta or served over freshly made rice.

Some companies erroneously refer to cockles as "baby clams", but they are not baby clams, they are their own thing. Both are bivalve molluscs, but one is not the immature version of the other. Which will be obvious to you if you look at them. Cockles have a characteristic orangish-yellow comma foot to them, and (we feel) a sweeter flavor. Elevate any dish that calls for clams by swapping in cockles. Or serve them straight from the tin with a squeeze of fresh lemon.

DOP Mussels from the Galacian Rias are widely considered to be the best you can obtain. Size is a matter of personal (and cultural) preference. If you want to eat them straight from the tin, we recommend serving them on your favorite plain potato chip. For something a bit nicer, try whisking the tin liquid until it emulsifies into a stable sauce thick enough to coat the meats.
