    These were pretty good. The texture was wonderful and only one little bit of sand in all those scallops. There wasn’t much of a garlic flavor, but the hint of heat of the chili was there. They are pricey, but a great treat.

    Here’s the thing about canned scallops: They are their own thing; they are quite different from scallops that will appear on your plate at a good seafood restaurant. Both can be fabulous, but they are not even close to the same thing.

    So, with that out of the way, these Ar de Arte scallops are the best I’ve had from a tin. They are small (even as compared to bay scallops you might order at a restaurant), chewy in a good way, and briny, also in a good way. They’re little flavor bombs of the sea! The garlic and chili notes are very muted, but that no knock, because the taste of the scallops is the star.
