Everytime I see people selling the 90g jars of squid ink I shake my head in disbelief. I’m not a restaurant, I just like to cook food as good as a restaurant.
1 g of ink is enough to flavor 100 g (3.5 oz) of sauce.
This is four packets which each contain 4 g of ink, each of which is enough to flavor 400g (14 oz) of sauce.

These are a very potent tool in a culinary arsenal. I’m a fan of using squid in ink in recipes, so I got this to try and see how it goes.
The ink is very thick – It’s basically just a paste, so it’s kind of difficult to get all of it out, but it’s very effective, lending a dark color and a wonderfully briny taste that just speaks “Ocean” to me.
It makes a wonderful addition to seafoody pastas and rices – If you like that sorta thing, I’d definitely give this a try!
