Strong onion aroma upon opening the tin. 5 fish of varying size. I tasted the oil first and found it to be pleasant. The Fish were very firm and meaty. Sweet and not ay all fishy. The onions were fried as described. I believe this would be a good fist time experience. Good product for a once in while snack. I will purchase again.

Yum! Most immediately pleasing straight-from-tin experience I’ve had to date. sumptuous and savory, with a bit of jerky-ish sweetness from the HUGE portion of caramelized onions – piled it all high on a toasted poppyseed bagel with cream cheese and was quite the happy camper. it’s a shame that this is apparently a limited edition tin, because as far as I’m concerned, this should be a standard sardine prep method. would absolutely buy again.

These were very delicious. There were 4 nice sized sardines with lots of onions. I ate these with some baked japanese sweet potato and it was a great combination. Next time I’ll try these with some crusty bread to soak up the oil too.

One of my favorite times ever! I’m a big onion lover so take that as you will. The deeply caramelized onions give a strong french onion soup vibe. The fish is firmer than average and the meat seems stained a touch darker by the onions. It’s a delicious combo.

Fantastic. One of the most delicious tins I’ve ever had. It was the onion confit which turned the whole tin into French Onion Soup Sardine Style. The onions were so sweet, and the sardines picked up the onion flavor readily. Grab your baguette and go getcha some!

Onion lovers rejoice, you’ve found your tin. I like this one even better than the also very onion-forward Ferrigno à la Pissaladière and that’s a compliment. They spared no expense in the onion budget here. Traditional Ferrigno medium firm texture, average moisture, and seasoning gets amplified by the additional flavors. I ate mine straight from the tin at room temp, but I’ll take the suggestion of fibersides next time to eat this with crusty bread. It’s a tin to remember if you enjoy unique additional flavors!
