Nice!! That distinct and delicious sweet scallop flavor is really prominent, of course, and the added ingredients don’t detract from it. I was a little put off by the larger pieces of carrot, but once smeared on a cracker I didn’t notice them at all. Great snack and a great way to get my scallop fix without having to worry about getting that perfect sear.

The scallop flavor is well complemented by the cream and seasonings, I finished off half the jar in one sitting. My friend who isn’t as much into tinned seafood thought liked the crab rillettes from the same company a bit more as she found the scallop flavor to be too much of the sea, which is fine by me.

A fairly course grind of scallops, fish and vegetables…you can see chunks of scallop/fish in the rillette…nice!…
Has a nice chew as a result of the grind…distinct flavor of scallop with hints of shallots in the back…rich cream “sauce”…delicious spread on warm buttered garlic toast…a jar this size will easily serve two people as an appetizer on toast points or gourmet crackers…or perhaps as part of a “sea-cuterie” board…
