I’m typically not a huge fan of hot smoked salmon, but this tin really surprised me. The texture of the fish is meaty but unctuous and tender; the smokiness is delicate and highlights the richness of the salmon and olive oil really well without being overwhelming. Who knows if/when I’ll ever run out of new tins to try, but when that happens, this will be the one I reach for again and again.

Elite smoked salmon. Cut sushi style perfectly which adds to the tenderness. Incredible out of the tin with no additional seasoning but dress it in the typical ways and wow. Had it on some home made rye sourdough with creme fraiche, pickled onions, capers, dill, and tomatoes. Extremely satisfied with this tin.

A fantastic tin of smoked salmon that has immediately been added to my rotation of favorites. The fish is so succulent it falls apart in your mouth, and it has a lovely fattiness without being excessively oily. The smokiness is prominent but not overpowering in any way. I tried this in several combinations – alone, on crunchy sourdough, on crackers, on a potato chip, with goat cheese, with creme fraiche, etc. and was not disappointed a single time. The oil also tastes great, and I saved it to add to pasta.

I love smoked salmon, but generally don’t get it of the tinned variety. Big mistake. Delicious, buttery, flakey, salmon that is delicious strait out of the can. I had mine with plain crackers and added a few capers and a spritz of lemon. Absolutely delicious the way the fatty fish and acids combines and played well together. Definitely something I will be ordering again.

The cut is so unique for a tinned fish. With its beautiful smokey flavor and fall apart buttery texture, I’m a fan and for this price I’d definitely get it again.

This is extremely delicious smoked salmon. I thought it needed salt and acid, so I zhuzzed it up with just a bit of maldon and fresh lemon juice – simple and exquisite. I wish there was more fish in the tin for the price.

Is this fin absolutely delicious? Just like all these reviewers are saying? Yes. Do I want to buy this again? Also, yes.

I had these straight up, as part of a snack board, though they also would have been great on top of some avocado toast. The oil was so good I saved the remainder to cook eggs (also good).

Really the only drawback here is the cost vs. how much you get. So while I’d love to keep these in rotation, they’ll have to be a treat, rather than a regular thing.

Jose gourmet’s distinctive flavor of olive oil present here, a strong smokiness combined with melt in your mouth texture of the meat. Smooth, rich oil is distinct from the flaky fish without any detectable mushiness and is wonderfully delicate on its own or lands a pow! Right to the kisser blow when jazzed up with accoutrements. Acids, herbs starches or vegetables make each element a balanced cast member in a terrific show of a meal.

A really wonderful tin. Truly exceptional smoked salmon with incredibly tender texture and a rich taste with just the right amount of salt and smoke. The fact that it also includes the salmon skin was a great touch. They were amazing straight out of the tin, but I also tried them with potato chips, and the combination felt like a little revelation! :’)

Possibly the best food I’ve eaten from a can. Had it on Wasa light rye crispbread, smeared with cream cheese and topped with homemade pickled red onions, capers and sliced cherry tomatoes. A few splashes of habanero salsa Espinaler to add some heat and balance out the oil.
The salmon was incredibly tender, silky even. Moist throughout and delicious with a natural smoky flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The bits of skin and fat on the outer edges may have been my favorite part, they were intensely flavorful yet still delicate.
Definitely a once-in-a-while tin at the price, but I will be having it again in the future.

Wow, this salmon was incredible. It was so tender and had the perfect amount of smoke. I ate it on a bagel and cream cheese in place of lox, but It’s also fantastic straight out of the tin. I’m also saving the oil for either a salad dressing or to cook with later today. I will definitely be buying this tin again

The first tin of salmon I’ve enjoyed! I usually find tinned salmon to be too dry and firm, but these slices were so supple, with a lovely pale orange color. Loved the unique skin-on cross-cut too. My one complaint was that it was super salty—a complaint I’ve never made about a tin of fish. I ate mine straight out of the tin but I wished I had some rice or bread to help dampen the saltiness.

Soft and delicate texture, comparable to a freshly cooked piece of salmon. Smoked flavor is light but present packed with a high quality oil. High price when you consider the $/oz against what you would pay for fresh salmon at the market but absolutely worthy of a entertaining platter.
