When we first sampled this product we were stunned by the price, and even questioned it to be sure it was right. This is one of the best tinned salmon products on the market, and the price means it can be a daily driver.

Refreshingly and satisfyingly lemon! So many other lemon tins don’t get this right … but KO, you really did. The salmon is beautiful upon opening, a nice light pink color that is very clearly a full piece of a larger fillet. Very, very few stray pieces in the tin. There’s a solid level of flake in this fish and I’d say it was most (texturally) similar to above-average can of tuna. Moisture was good (no hiccups!) and very comparable to tinned salmon that I’ve had before. I found myself adding just a tiny bit of salt, probably not as much because it lacked salt but instead because I love extra salt when there’s this much lemon flavor. Recommended, especially for people who want to use this as an ingredient in a recipe (would probably make for a spectacular lemony salmon salad sandwich)!

Another great salmon from KO! Bright, summery flavor that did not disappoint. I enjoyed the salmon atop an arugula salad, which was the perfect accompaniment to cut the citrus flavor. Moist and flaky, beyond expectation at the $5 price point. Can’t go wrong with these!

I’m befuddled by math, but I’m pretty certain this tin has the highest ratio of deliciousness to dollars of anything I’ve opened. The salmon is flawless, the olive oil is nice and lemony, as promised. If King Oscar was commanding $9.00 for it, I’d still rate it a good buy. I’ll be stocking up in bulk at $5.00. You should, too.

This is a wonderful product! The price is wonderful also! Add a little fresh dill, shallot and mayo and you’ve got a great salad for sandwich or on top of some nice Boston lettuce.
