Very high-quality sardines. We can’t tell much about the brand, the packaging states it was established in 2023. However, the sardines are on par with any of the top producers. Our tin contained 4 nice, firm fish. They tasted very mild and clean. The olive oil was good but not spicy from the single piri-piri. Overall, a surprisingly good, top-tier tin.

This was one the the better piri-piri sardines that I’ve had the pleasure of sampling lately. Cracking the tin I was presented with four sardines in a light-colored olive oil. The texture was soft enough to flake apart easily on toast. Flavor was mild and meaty – the spice level was a 1.5 out 5, enough to be noticeable. Seasoning was perfect, no need to add anything else.
I’ve been very pleased with the offerings from this new conserva thus far and this is a tin worth trying out.

Wonderful tin although I (regrettably) would say my tin hit 1.5, maaybe 2 out of 5 on the heat scale. I’m not too upset as the heat of a piri piri pepper can vary greatly. More importantly, the fish was of brilliant quality, texture, and moisture. Wasn’t left for wanting in any area and would describe the medium-firm flake as pretty much my personal ideal. Flavor was a little more subtle than I was expecting but delicious nonetheless. I have to agree with the previous reviewer that it’s a little difficult to justify this cost, but at the same time … it was absolutely delicious and there aren’t many sardines that I enjoy more than a spiced sardine. Yes, I’ll be trying this one again.
