    Cockles loosely packed in brine…mostly nickel size specimens…
    They are tender and have a delicious clean tasting flavor, with a pronounced taste of the sea…somewhat clam like, but sweeter and more refined…the salt level is balanced and what you would expect…there is some grit, but nothing offensive…I topped these off with a bit of fresh squeezed lemon and bang…just delish…
    Had these with some crackers and washed it all down with glasses of Washington State Blanc de Noirs Brut.
    Cockles and sparkling wine are a match made in heaven imo…just saying.
