Move over everyone else, this is the best value out there in the world of salt-cured anchovy fillets.  But there’s a lot in this tin, so be prepared to share or store them after opening. Best way to store them is to remove them from the tin, place them in a small shallow glass container, and completely cover with olive oil (add more if there’s not enough in the tin), then cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap.

Ingredients: anchovy (60%), olive oil (40%), and salt.

    This was a delightful treat and a wonderful surprise given the price point. After opening up the tin, I saw loosely packed anchovies that were cleaned yet still had visible bones sticking out. Texture-wise, I would rate these to be on the soft/medium side… as these did crumble easily when mashed with a fork. Flavor-wise, these impart the noticeable umami flavor but are not as salty as say a Cento anchovy. I enjoyed these by serving with sundried tomatoes and with some scrambled eggs and capers. You do get a lot of fish in each tin so ended up using the leftover anchovies and oil to make a compound butter.
