    3.5 stars, rounding up to 4 because it is an interesting thing to try. It doesn’t taste like anchovies (at all) or even like soy sauce, instead it reads almost as crunchy wild rice + nuts in a lightly sweet mild bbq sauce. I ate it directly from the tin and while it was perfectly fine that way, I’d definitely recommend it over rice instead … it ached to be paired with something. I’m intrigued enough by the flavor / quality of this that I’ll probably try another Sempio side dish tin soon.
