We love tinned squid in olive oil (more than squid in ink, which we know puts us in the minority), and love this simple version. Squids are stuffed with their own tentacles. Great straight from the tin with a squeeze of citrus, or sliced and tossed with pasta, parm, and pepper.

    The squid has a little chew, and a very mild flavor. If you haven’t tried squid before this can is a great entry point. Good over rice, in a pasta dish, a salad, tacos, or straight out of the can. Great can for creativity since the squid does not overwhelm the dish. I took the can’s oil and flipped it with some freshly cooked rice, topped it with the squid and some chili crisp.

    These are whole squids perfect bite size. Interesting texture in some of the bites but overall fantastic. I hit them with some lemon, pepper, paprika and thoroughly enjoyed them.
