I tried this compared to a budget brand, and the difference was night and day. These scallops are cooked perfectly and have the most delightful texture and flavor. They’re firm but not rubbery. The sauce complements the scallops without overwhelming their flavor. Recommended with crusty bread or straight from the can.

These were amazing. As someone who has been getting into tinned fish (more seriously) for just the past year – this was my first foray into trying scallops. I was a little unsure how I would like them from a can (as I love sardines, and other fish) – but I was completely unaware how great they are and the soft (and not rubbery) texture was so surprising. The taste immediately floored my wife and I (not fishy at all) – we will getting these again, and likely serving them over pasta. One of favorite tins so far.

This is a tough one for me. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with these (apart from the cost), and yet for me, something is missing: scallops. Maybe I’m unfairly expecting the taste of fresh scallops, like a moviegoer complaining that the director wasn’t true to the book. These are tender, pristine; the sauce exemplary. But where’s the essence?
